Sam Damon Never trying to be edgy or "to experimental". Its well balanced and refreshingly easy and very enjoyable fusion to listen to. Favorite track: Black Idiom Pt.II.

Foxadn Surprise and delight!!

So happy this album is finally here! After a few EPs that showed an incredible progression into their own musical universe, this is a big step where all the pieces get together to make something even greater.

I've been following Kinkajous since their beginning and it is such a blast to have observed their evolution and maturity, EP after EP. When people ask me what style of music they play I say "their own". It is a magical universe, just press play to get inside immediately.

I love their sound, and this album brings it the best way possible. Dreamy synths, bass that grabs your guts and twists it, precise drums with the perfect amount of ghost notes to get your brain confused, and the twirling melodies of the clarinet and saxophone. They find the perfect balance between flow and chaos, tension and release. All this served in a super clean mix but never boring.

I haven't gotten a chance to see them live yet but can't wait, and if you have a chance go for it!! In the meantime I'll listen to this album again and again. Anywhere, at every moment of your life, it will bring out emotions you didn't know existed, and possibly a smile on your face :) Favorite track: Light Drops.

Kinkajous' debut album 'Hidden Lines' is a compelling mix of tonalities and influences, drawn from their London home. The band has condensed their diverse experiences from across the artistic spectrum – orchestral to jazz, world and electronic – into a transcendental exploration of sound and time.

“Hidden Lines has been a sculpting process, an ever evolving flux. It has been a constant search, discovering infinite layers as we reminisce on fading memories.“

The album is out on Nottingham label Running Circle, home of Yazmin Lacey and Pete Beardsworth.
